The old warehouse
district on the river is
now the home of
numerous restaurants
and shops
What would a southern
coastal town be without
a horse-drawn carriage
ride.
Like many other
cities, Wilmington is
experiencing a
rebirth of downtown.
Old neglected homes
are being restored to
their past glory.
Famous homes are
everywhere, including
this one where North
Carolina's first elected
governor lived.
Many of these homes are now owned
by famous celebrities, while others
are just ordinary millionaires.
A trip to Wilmington
would not be complete
without visiting the
USS North Carolina.
It is a remarkable
experience reliving
the history of this
WW-II battleship.
