. . . And What Did We Do
This Summer?
New Windows! Yeah!!!
Out with the old. . .
. . . in with the. . . OMG!
What have we done?
Crawling over the
furniture to get
through the room
was an adventure.
. . . and then the
real fun began.
It's too late to
turn back now.
Can you imagine how
much dust is created
by cutting out the old
windows with a
grinder? We can!
As a tribute to Michael
Jackson, John and
Rick were practicing
their moonwalking.
What a clear view!
It's almost a shame to
block it with a window.
One at a time, the
windows were put
into place.
Neither rain, nor dust,
nor hoards of flying
insects would keep
Martha from watching
her lunchtime soap.
Terry helped out
when no-skill,
no-intelligence
labor was needed.
. . . but mostly he
admired the work
from a comfortable
vantage point.
The end is near!
The contractor
finished his job.
Now, it's Terry's turn
to make it pretty.
A little caulk, wood
putty, and paint makes
a lot of difference.
The brown trim paint
looked so much like
chocolate pudding,
Terry was starved all
the time he was
painting.
Well, we did our part to
stimulate the economy.
Some new blinds eased
the pain of covering up
the windows.
It was nice to cross the
room again without
getting a running start.
It took a lot of work to
get this room back to
health department
standards, but we are
very pleased with it.
